Robert (Bobby) Chapman - Captain (Rotation)
Ireland
Robert grew up in a small seaside village in Ireland and has been around boats and the sea all his life. He comes from a family of seafarers, and at the early age of 17, he became one of Ireland's youngest qualified deep- sea mariners. With 15 years in the yachting industry, Robert is Master 3000 GT qualified and has been on board Seven Sins since October 2021. Robert is always looking forward to taking guests on a discovery of the many beautiful bays,anchorages, and towns of the Mediterranean and Caribbean. Captain Robert loves spending his free time in the mountains, enjoying outdoor sports and staying active.
Xavier Penez - Captain (rotation)
France
Captain Xavier Penez, a seasoned mariner with over two decades of maritime expertise, commands respect as a distinguished Captain with 15 years of illustrious service. His career spans across various private and charter vessels, showcasing a remarkable mastery of worldwide navigation and itinerary planning finesse. Meticulously handling operations, service, and compliance, Captain Penez stands out for his unwavering commitment to excellence. With a robust Naval background, he effortlessly oversees yard projects and orchestrates onboard entertainment systems, showcasing a versatile skill set. His leadership is marked by a blend of precision and professionalism, making him a beacon of reliability in the maritime industry. Captain Xavier Penez, a true maritime virtuoso, continues to navigate the seas with expertise, leaving an indelible mark on every voyage.
Lewis Brailsford - Chief Officer
Great Britain
Lewis was born and raised in Nottingham in the UK, he originally joined the Seven Sins team in 2021 as a deckhand and has recently returned as an officer.
Having spent the last 7 years on yachts, working on vessels ranging from 50m to 95m. His hobbies consist of all things water sports, including scuba diving, windsurfing and jet ski racing. He has a passion for all things nautical, knowing the best spots for any activity or occasion.
Onboard he’s responsible for navigation and ensuring you have the most amazing and safe experience with us.

(MJ) Marthinus Jacobus Strauss - Deckhand
South Africa
Mj grew up in a small farming town in the heart of South Africa. Before joining the yachting industry, he played professional rugby in South Africa for two years before deciding to make the move to the yachting industry. He started off by doing sailing races and deliveries across the world before landing on Seven Sins. He has a strong passion for diving, kiteboarding and videography.
You will always find him with a camera in his hand and a smile on his face. He will always aim to make your time onboard as memorable as possible.
Ethan Marlow - Deckhand
Great Britain
Ethan was born and raised on the South coast of England and has over three years’ experience in the yachting industry. A deckhand and recent addition to the team, he enjoys all aspects of deck operations, particularly driving tenders and operating water toys.
Holding a jet ski instructor licence, Ethan is enthusiastic, approachable and safety-focused, and is dedicated to ensuring guests enjoy memorable experiences on the water, whether they’re looking for a relaxed cruise or an action-packed day.
Tiaan Nel - Deckhand
South Africa
Tiaan joined the yachting industry after earning his degree in Civil Engineering, bringing a strong technical mindset and problem-solving approach to life at sea.
Originally from a livestock farm in South Africa, he grew up with a hands-on, hardworking attitude that carries through in his work onboard. He has worked on three different yachts and thrives in active guest-facing roles.
Whether it’s wakeboarding, jet surfing, or any other water sport, Tiaan loves sharing his passion on the water and creating memorable experiences for guests.
Alexandru-Marian Stefan - Chief engineer (rotation)
Romania
Alex, 35-year-old, with vast experience on commercial vessels and cruise ships, joined the yacht industry in 2022.
Dedicated and ambitious to solve any kind of technical issues in a professional manner, his experience helps him to find the best solutions. His motto is: “wherever I put the hand, a flower needs to grow up”.
Cristian Tofan - Chief Engineer (Rotation)
Romania
Cristian, born and raised on the coast of the Black Sea in Romania, is a 31- year- old man. After graduating as an electro-mechanical engineer from the Maritime University of Constanta, Cristian began his career in the commercial industry. After traveling worldwide on large crude oil tankers, he discovered his true calling within the yachting industry, where he thrived. He has gained experience from various super-yachts and has worked in places like the Mediterranean, Dubai, the Caribbean, and Turkey. Cristian enjoys outdoor activities and sports.
Sarah Alcock - Chief stewardess
South Africa
Sarah grew up in a small coastal town called Knysna in the garden route area of south Africa. After high school she moved to the Netherlands to be an au pair looking after 3 boys, she also played field hockey during her time spent abroad. The years following, she studied a marketing degree and graduated 3 years later. Sarah then started her yachting career in the beginning of 2020, in Fort Lauderdale and hasn’t looked back since. She has been lucky enough to explore multiple super yacht locations and meet amazing people from all backgrounds along the way. Sarah is a very active individual that loves the outdoors. She also loves to keep fit by going running, hiking, and cycling. Sarah loves to travel the world and immerse herself in different cultures and cuisines that each destination has to offer.
Zoe Laurier - 2nd stewardess
Great Britain
Zoe is a 23-year-old woman from the southeast coast of England, with a unique upbringing that took her between Kent, Cape Town, and Durban, South Africa. After 8 years of working in the hospitality industry, where she developed a passion for high-quality service and creating memorable experiences for clients, she transitioned into the yachting industry in 2022. Since then, she’s had the opportunity to explore stunning locations like the Maldives, Seychelles and the Mediterranean. Zoe has a deep love for the ocean, a passion for immersing herself in different cultures, and enjoys learning new things and building meaningful connections along the way.
Kate Morgan - Stewardess
Great Britain
Kate is from London, bringing with her the valuable experience from a decade in hospitality and working on five yachts prior to Seven Sins. Originally drawn to the yachting industry through her love of people and service, she quickly discovered a passion for delivering high-quality, memorable guest experiences.
As an extrovert, Kate thrives in dynamic, guest-facing environments where she can create meaningful connections and contribute to the atmosphere onboard. She takes great pride in ensuring every trip feels personal, enjoyable and unforgettable for guests.
This, paired with her love of travel, makes yachting the job of dreams for Kate. Kate has enjoyed 3 Atlantic crossings on both a Sailing Yacht and Motor Yacht and has been lucky enough to experience both the Mediterranean and Caribbean seasons.
Kelly Jansens Ter Laeck - Stewardess
South Africa
Kelly grew up in Durban, South Africa, surrounded by the sea with an upbringing that ignited her lifelong love for the ocean, travel, and discovering new cultures. After school, she headed overseas to pursue a new journey that led her to Switzerland, where she spent a year as an au pair caring for three children while simultaneously studying for a diploma in Public Relations. Following her year as an au pair her passion for a career in yachting never faded and she took the leap into the industry and was fortunate to secure her first position soon after. Kelly has been in yachting ever since, continually inspired by the incredible people she meets, the opportunity to help create unforgettable guest experiences, and the chance to immerse herself in cultures from all around the world.
Hrvoje Sentic - HEAD CHEF ( ROTATION)
Croatia
Hrvoje Sentić is a experienced head chef specializing in Mediterranean cuisine with a creative twist. Cooking has been a lifelong passion for him, starting from childhood alongside his mother. Having lived his entire life by the sea on the coast of Croatia near Dubrovnik, he has a deep affinity for the sea. With five years of experience in the yachting industry four of those on a 30 meter yacht Novella.
Hrvoje has cooked in London, Paris, Austria, Croatia, and Spain, including in Michelin-starred and top-rated restaurants. His time as a professional water polo player, living and playing in Italy, Spain, France, and Iran, allowed him to experience diverse culinary cultures, which fuels his creativity in the kitchen.
Hrvoje is passionate about continuous learning, always exploring new culinary literature and refining his skills. Beyond the galley, he is a skilled spearfisher, certified dive master, and holder of a Yachtmaster B license. His background as a former professional athlete gives him strong discipline and social skills that make him a great team player.
Damir Saric - HEAD CHEF ( ROTATION)
Croatia
Born and raised in the sun-drenched coastal gem of Dubrovnik, Croatia, Damir Saric brings the authentic soul of the Adriatic to every plate.
As a seasoned head chef, he honed his craft at Dubrovnik’s finest restaurants before elevating his career in the Netherlands’ Michelin-starred kitchens, including the legendary Oud Sluis (3 Michelin stars) and De Kromme Watergang (2 Michelin stars).
His extensive experience in luxury dining extends to elite ski resorts in Austria and France, where he masterminded bespoke menus for discerning guests amid alpine splendour.
Damir’s great passion lies in Mediterranean cuisine, artisanal bread baking, and drawing inspiration from art, the sea, and nature. He believes the perfect dish is local, fresh, and simple—pure in taste and aroma, celebrating ingredients at their peak.
A devoted lover of pasta, sweets, and the joy of family feasts, Damir transforms onboard galleys into vibrant hubs of flavour, creating memorable culinary experiences tailored to luxury voyages.
